PET Scans (Positron emission tomography) are used to produce detailed 3-dimensional images of the inside of a human body.
These are often combined with CT scans to increase the level of image detail.
PET scanners use small amounts of radioactive materials called radio tracers to diagnose, evaluate or treat a variety of diseases.
